About the Instructor:

I live and work in New York City. Although I've been using watercolors since I was a kid, I started using them more frequently in 2014 when I started urban sketching around New York City. At the time, I was working professionally painting scenery and making props for theater. In 2019 I made the switch to painting watercolors full time! Since then I've taught a number of urban sketching workshops, and written a book, the Urban Sketching Handbook on Understanding Light. I'm one half of Woodward and Father, making sketchboards and watercolor palettes with my Dad.
