About the Instructor:

Simone Ridyard is an internationally recognised architectural illustrator and Senior Lecturer in Interior Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. Best known for her involvement with Urban Sketchers, her research focuses on architectural reportage and drawing on location. She regularly teaches perspective drawing workshops across the UK and internationally, and has collaborated with The Big Draw (UK), Winsor & Newton, and Derwent. Simone is the author of Archisketcher: Drawing Buildings, Cities & Landscapes (North Light Books, 2015), Simone Ridyard Sketchbook (2022), and is currently working on a definitive book on perspective drawing, due for UK publication in June 2026.
