About the Instructor:

My name is Pedro Alves, an architect and illustrator from Torres Vedras, Portugal. Drawing has always been my passion—a way to express ideas and bring to life the animated characters I loved growing up. At university in 2001, I began sketching urban scenes for academic projects, and a lifelong habit was born. I joined CCC Sketchcrawl Torres Vedras and, until recently, co-coordinated Urban Sketchers Oeste. Working in Lisbon, my sketchbooks brim with the city’s vibrant energy, balanced by relaxed sketches of family lunches back home. For me, drawing is both profession and journey—an ongoing exploration of growth, creativity, and communication.
